Highlights from Dick’s: Ghost, The Soundcheck Jam, and the Webcast Rail Fight

Phish once again hit Dick’s for Labor Day weekend to conclude their summer tour. These shows marked the band’s seventh run at the storied, 30,000-capacity venue. And while the shows didn’t have the gravitas of the Baker’s Dozen, we certainly got a helping shot of solid, original Phish.

It’s easy to say the highlight from the three-night run was the five-song second set from the first night: No Men In No Man’s Land > Carini > Ghost > Harry Hood > Cavern.

Furthermore, the second night’s first set had some notable moments as well, particularly Simple, Reba, and The Wolfman’s Brother.

And certainly, Phish’s third night at Dick’s 2017 brought a dark and dank second set opener with Disease > Light.

But perhaps the best jam of the run was not during one of the shows. Here at PhanSite, we can’t stop listening to the Soundcheck Jam from 09/01/17, wow wow wow. Enjoy!

Oh, and there was that fight at the rail live-streamed for all to see!
