Phish Is Pitching a Perfect Game at Baker’s Dozen

That’s right. No repeats. And at risk of jinxing our beloved band, we’re heading into night 6 of 13 for what will surely be another epic night of jams, covers, and no repeated songs from the previous five nights. And there won’t be any repeats tomorrow night either. Or the night after that. Or any night.

They’re loose, they’re relaxed, they’re focused…

They’re showcasing all the signs of a “no-no” in baseball parlance. This “27 up, 27 down,” is more like “26 up, 26 down” if you’re counting sets instead of outs. But it’s happening, oh, it’s happening.

Use this Google Doc to help keep track of what songs they’ve played and what songs are still contenders…

If you don’t think they can swing it, well, I bet you didn’t think they’d jam out Lawn Boy for 30 minutes either.

That said, Phish does love to keep us guessing.

If they were to “double down” on a song, perhaps tonight’s Double Chocolate donut flavor is the night for it…

We’ll see! Five down, eight to go!
